I pull up in a parking lot with a couple of friends in my car with my drivers side window rolled down, I park next to a new base 3-series with a guy and his wife sitting in it, also with the windows down. I turn to my friend and say “Aaaaand that’s a lease” while motioning at it. Guy in the BMW heard me and looks at me with a surprised expression. I tell my friend “Told ya.”
Now I totally didn’t notice his windows were down, or that he could hear me. But oh well.

Dude, as a person who knows about the bushings on the 3-er, you don’t want to swap for poly.
Poly bushings firm up the suspension by reducing deflection. The deflection in the front of a McPherson Strut front suspension is not found in the LCA bushings, but rather the geometry of the suspension itself, you’d be a lot further off putting some camber plates and ditching the factory top mount than you could gain from poly bushings.
Second, firm ride does not equate to proper handling. You can have low spring rates and high damping for the same effect, provided you have the proper width tire and enough sway bar for body control.

I’m just playing with the common F30 criticism of it being too sterile and isolated. Ratcheting up the NVH levels to publicly unacceptable levels would solve that.
If I had a billion dollars this could be a fun project; Find a flood damaged F30 320i and see if there’s any addition by subtraction.

A well designed bushing has damping without deflection. They are not mutually exclusive.
